The Medieval City is quite small - only 2 kilometres around between the two fortified walls. L'Echappee Belle is located INSIDE the Medieval City walls, in the heart of the Medieval City on a small side street: 5, rue Raymond Roger Trencavel, near the Musee de L'Ecole and the Basilique Saint Nazaire. This is one of only a few homes within the Medieval City. There is only one World Heritage Site that is the walled Medieval City and only one L'Echappee Belle that lies within those walls.
